2026 Jane’s Walk James Bay Planning Sessions RSVP | November 10, 2025
November 10 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

You’re Invited to Help Shape the Second Annual Jane’s Walk James Bay
James Bay is full of stories—old ones tucked into its heritage homes and new ones unfolding every day on its tree-lined streets. If you care about your neighbourhood and love sharing what makes it special, you’re invited to take part in shaping the second annual Jane’s Walk James Bay, coming up the first weekend in May 2026.
Jane’s Walk is a global festival of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by urban activist Jane Jacobs, whose ideas about walkable, people-centered cities transformed the way we think about community life. Every year, in hundreds of cities around the world, neighbours come together to walk, talk, and see their surroundings through fresh eyes.
Here in James Bay, we’re building on the success of last year’s event and looking for creative walk ideas, enthusiastic volunteer guides, and helping hands to bring the 2026 festival to life. Whether you’re passionate about history, gardens, architecture, or community life, your perspective can help shape this year’s lineup of walks and conversations.
To get started, join our upcoming planning sessions on
Monday, November 10, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at New Horizons, 234 Menzies Street
Come be part of shaping the 2026 Jane’s Walk right here in James Bay — where community, creativity, and conversations meet!
